Yasir Arafat Biography
Born on 12th March 1982 is a Pakistani Cricketer named Yasir Arafat Satti. Yasir is an allrounder in the Pakistani Cricket team. He is a right handed batsman and bowl right arm fast medium.
Before entering the international circuit, Yasir had represented Pakistan in the Under 15 level.
At the age of 17 he played his debut One day international against Sri Lanka in Karachi in 2000. His efforts and skills brought him his first international wicket. But his run didn’t continue for long as he managed to play only one game after his debut and he was then dropped. Yasir got his second chance in the last one day against England in December 2005.
After his performance he was chosen for the series against India which was scheduled in February 2006. But his efforts couldn’t fetch him a place in the succeeding tour of England.

Yasir was then fortunately chosen for the squad of Champions trophy. He was called as a one of the replacements for the drug test failed Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif. He alongside Mohammed Sami was again called up as replacement for the same drug test failed players in World Cup 2007.
8th December 2007 saw Yasir making his Test debut. It was Bangalore Test against India which was third and final test of the series.
Yasir contributed in the match showing his allround skills by taking 7 wickets in the match. He took a 5 wicket haul and also scored a useful 44 in the first innings.
In 2006 Yasir played county cricket when he was signed up by Sussex.
Mustaq Ahmed and Naved-ul-Hasan were his fellow countrymen playing for the same county. His performances contributed towards his team’s success in winning the County championship as well as the C&G trophy.In 2007 Yasir signed up for the season with Kent. He made his fan following with his remarkable performance.
Yasir has a unique feat under his belt of taking 5 wickets in 6 balls in first class cricket. He achieved this record while playing for Rawalpindi against Faisalabad in the Quaid-E-Azam Trophy. Only Bil Corpson, William Henderson and Pat Pocock are the others to have achieved this rare feat.
